Tucked into the headland between Curl Curl Beach and Freshwater Beach, nestled in the rocks you will find Freshwater Rockpool, a 50 metre outdoor pool. The first rockpool to be opened and the oldest ocean pool in the Northern Beaches, opened on 28 November 1925. Constructed by WH Morgan for 472 pounds with the lower path from the beach to the pool added later by Mr R Antill who won the tender for 105 pounds. The pool was extended in 1962 to the 50 metres it is today. Locals revel in looking at the the surf crashing in on Freshwater Beach whilst having your morning swim.
